The contemporary art in general and photography in particular are going through developments were the systems of narrow specializations within the certain art forms are disappearing and the fusion of all artistic themes is taking place.

Present day photography is an acute example of such developments. Photographic methods and digital reproduction are used to create and document a range of artistic endeavors: sculpture, installations, conceptual web art, video. But there is still place for expression through the format of a photographic print were the vision of a photographer has to be concentrated to the extreme in order to affect the viewer.

This show was conceived as a way to present work of very talented Russian photographers who are of diverse artistic backgrounds but are joined in their ability to distill and convey the essence of their vision.

After September Tragedy in Beslan we could not help but react to the events with great sadness and at the same time with an urge to help. The first few days after the tragedy there was an outpuring of help from diffrent regions of the world, but the pace of helping the charities that provide help for Beslan families is slowing down. So the group of Photographers desided to invite more people to participate and change the format to the Silent Auction in order to attract more attention to the organizations that provide still needed relief and support to the victims.
